This still-life recently made it through the first round of a national open-art competition but didn't get into the show. The color is much warmer in reality, but for the life of me I cannot get it in this photo!

you are my very first ever blog posting. (to be fair i believe you're only my third blog viewing...but I digress) What beautiful work. love the owl. as someone married to an artist, i can only say, trying to pay the mortgage is always terrifying but living the impossible dream has much bigger perks:) and as crazy as it sounds being an artist is a luxury, so appreciate your gift every day.
